This year, AIESEC will host its first 100% online international event. Global Leadership Day is an initiative to gather young people around the world – organization members or not – to discuss innovation and the importance of youth leadership.
For us, leadership is the fundamental solution and it can be developed in anyone. If you are between 16 and 30 years-old and care enough about the future to believe you have a role in the solutions to create better social and working environments, this event is for you. In AIESEC, we place our confidence in youth as the key to a better future. Global Leadership Day is a brand new event for our organization with the idea to unite young people across the world who are willing to learn more about youth leadership, positive impact, and taking action. Many discussions such as racism, access to healthcare systems and workers conditions are on the spotlights during the last weeks and months. If you are interested in any of these topics or other ones related to world issues, GLD is going to be an opportunity to understand how you can make a difference and be part of the solution.

We all know travelling is a dangerous activity at the moment. Due to the pandemic, many countries closed their borders and life is slowly going back to normal in some places. But Global Leadership Day will be held online, streamed in 4 different time zones, and it is free. This is an opportunity to gather youth from all around the world to discuss topics related to leadership despite social isolation policies. We expect to have young people from all continents with us sharing different perspectives. The schedule includes activities like keynote talks, workshops and panel discussion.

AIESEC is the largest youth-run organization in the world. We are in over a hundred countries spreading the importance of youth leadership.
